Double Date – Patrick Lau and Ray Rose

Patrick Lau (Age 35)

Patrick is a custom home builder and one of the founders of Zen Forrest. Although he moved to Florida in 1986, Patrick is a New Yorker through and through! This bachelor is an excellent cook (looks like that and he cooks??? Where do we find them???) and he lives life to the fullest through his love of extreme sports such as rock climbing and long distance bike riding.

Patrick and Ray Rose are offering a double date. You and Patrick will join Ray and his date as you are whisked away by limo and taken to Dunedin to board their 38 foot yacht. Ray is a world traveler who enjoys the finer things in life like traveling, fine dining, boating and sailing, but a yet is a simple man who could live without it all. He is a franchise owner of four US Lawns locations as well as other businesses. They say “the harder you work the harder you play”… well this hard worker also enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, horseback riding and hiking. Ray is a founding member of the D-10 Society; a charitable organization he describes as a place where you can “have fun while you do good at the same time”. Ray says the three things he couldn’t live without are health, family and friends!

Ray’s date will go on a double date that will include fellow bachelor, Patrick Lau, and his lucky winning bidder, and what a date it is! You will take a limo to Dunedin to board their 38 foot yacht. Scott Byrnes (Age 45)

Scott was born in Buffalo NY and moved to Florida in 1999. He owns a home inspection business and is the President of PSN. He hasn’t yet married yet and has no children but says he has the best dog in the world! Three words his mother would use to describe him are “funny, smart and funny”. He enjoys movies, kayaking, taking his dog to the park, graphic designs, spending time with friends and riding with his Jeep top down. A little secret about Scott is that he writes short stories; comedy, fantasy and romance!

For Scott’s date the two of you will take a sunset boat trip which also includes a picnic style dinner with wine, cheese and other delightful tidbits from the Traveling Apron and as an added bonus you’ll receive a beautiful gift basket valued at $75!

Mark Middleton (Age 37)

Mark is originally from Michigan and moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1984. He played 1st base as a kid and his favorite team today is the Tampa Bay Rays! Go Rays! Mark is a graduate of USF with a degree in history. He is also a local charter boat captain and a nautical fine art photographer. Mark is an avid traveler and loves all sports and has an addiction to boating and fishing! In addition, he enjoys going to movies and frequenting Irish pubs all over the world. His favorite movie is “What Dreams May Come” with Robin Williams and if he were a superhero his “power” would be X-Ray vision…

Mark will be giving his date a “pamper me” gift basket to his winning bidder. His date will be on June 27th where the limo will pick you up early that evening or late afternoon to enjoy a very nice dinner in Tampa at PF Changs. The limo will then take you to the Kid Rock Concert. If the evening permits, the two of you can catch a cocktail after the concert back in New Port Richey.

Tracy Livingston (Age 38)

Tracy is a hard working entrepreneur with a pest control business as well as a boat/RV storage company, but is really a beach bum at heart. His least favorite place to be is jury duty and his favorite is the beach. Tracy loves to scuba dive, Jet Ski and share a day with his friends on Anclote Island. He loves spending time with his beautiful 14 year old daughter and giving back to the community through various charity works. Tracy serves on the board of the Holiday Rotary Club, the American Cancer Society, and the Alzheimer’s Foundation. He is a true patriot and served his country in the Navy from 1991 to 1995.

For his date, Tracy will pick you up and take you to a delectable dinner at the famous Charley's Steakhouse in Tampa. After dinner, you will enjoy laughs together at the Tampa Improv Comedy Club in historic Ybor City.

Dwane Melton (Age 42)

Dwane is a true southern gentleman. He was born in Virginia and raised in Tennessee, but has called Pasco County home for the last 9 years. Dwane is a single father who truly enjoys raising his wonderful 12 year old son and working in his own business as a Residential Home Designer. He has a real passion for life and likes to sing country songs, dance to hip hop and laugh to a great comedy. Dwane spends a lot of time helping his friends, working on computers and cooking; he says he makes the best Mexican Enchilada this side of the Rio Grande!

As Dwayne’s date you will enjoy sunset drinks at Sam’s on the Beach followed by dinner at Inn on the Gulf and a moonlit walk on the beach.

Robert Lang (Age 30)

Robert grew up all over the U.S. He attended high school in Utah, college in Maryland and learned to play hockey when he was a young. But he found his true passion as a pilot in the US Air Force. His favorite flavor of ice cream is butter pecan and his favorite piece of clothing is his jeans! He loves flying, playing ice hockey, walks on the beach and spending time with friends. Not a surprise he is a bit of a daredevil and the craziest thing he ever did was bungee jump out of a Hot Air Balloon!

Robert’s date includes a lovely dinner at a trendy, little restaurant in Channelside in Tampa. You will then go to a movie at the IMAX Theater in Channelside and if there is time they will have a few cold beers at Margarita Mamas.

Troy Sankey (Age 37)

Troy is an easy going guy who grew up with a small town, mid-west attitude. He has lived in Pasco County for the last 9 years and serves on various charity committees and boards. The accomplishment he is most proud of is being a dad to his two wonderful children. His least favorite place to be is in trouble and he loves the Green Bay Packers. The three things he could not live without are his kids, coffee and God.

Your date with Troy will begin with a tour through the MOSI museum in Tampa, an IMAX movie followed by a wonderful dinner at Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Restaurant.

Rick Hess (Age 55)

Rick has been the Executive Director of Pasco Kids First since 1997 and has more than 30 years experience of working with troubled families and children. He has three incredible kids of his own and if you were to ask is mother she’d tell you he’s a great dad, compassionate and someone who makes her proud! Rick was named Executive Director of the year in 1997 and was one of only six people ever to receive the “Special Friend of Children Award” in the state of Florida. He coaches little league and soccer and in the trunk of his car you’d find soccer balls and jerseys!

Rick’s date will enjoy a wonderful meal at his favorite restaurant Charley’s Steak House in Tampa, after which you will be treated to a show at the Performing Arts Theater and top off the evening with drinks at a quiet piano bar.

Eddie Stevens (Age 45)

Eddie is the youngest of 6 children; he moved to Florida in 1972 and stayed in Pasco County to be close to his family. He is new a member of the Trinity Rotary Club but has been a huge supporter of community events for many years. The accomplishment he is most proud of is starting his own communication business in 2004, which he still runs today. Eddie is a golf fanatic; he played as a child and can be found out on the greens at least once a week. His favorite ice cream is butter pecan and his best quality is his honesty. There’s longevity in his family too ladies; Eddie’s grandmother is celebrating her 108th birthday this year!

Your date with Eddie will be at one of his favorite restaurants; Bonefish Grill in Trinity. After that you’ll take a stroll over to Grille 54 and get to know each other better over some yummy martinis!

Steve Haag (Age 29)

The first thing you’ll notice about Steve are those deep blue eyes! He was born and raised in Michigan and has only been in Florida for about three years. Steve is currently studying Computer Animation and his dream job would be to one day work as an animator for Pixar or Dreamworks. This is no computer nerd though; he loves the outdoors, all kinds of sports and of course drawing. His favorite piece of clothing is his sandals and his least favorite place to be is inside doing homework! If Steve were a superhero, his power would be super strength!

Bring a bathing suit for your date with Steve because you’re going to spend the afternoon out on the beautiful waters in Tierra Verde kayaking around the islands. Then after a quick change head over to BellaBrava for a late lunch or dinner and end the day on a sweet note with ice cream.

Richard Roach Jr. (Age "50 something")

Richard was born in New York City, he moved to Florida in 1985. His has been a police officer, realtor and several other professions but found his nitch as a business owner in Spring Hill, FL. The wild side of Richard will take you motorcycling, boating, fishing, jet skiing, but his softer side will be relaxing by the pool or enjoying a movie with friends. He played all sports as a child and loves the NY Yankees. Richard’s greatest accomplishment he says has been raising his 5 children and loving his 8 grandchildren! His dream job would be a veterinarian and his dream pet? A Bengal Tiger!

Your date with Richard will be filled with romance beginning with the two of you enjoying a gorgeous sunset from the balcony of his waterfront home in Hernando Beach while sipping wine or a beverage of your choice. Vroom, Vroom ladies! Gary is a Harley man from the bottom of his leather boots to the top of his helmet covered head! Born in California, Gary now is vice President of operations for three Harley Davidson dealerships in the Tampa Bay area. He loves motorcycles, boating, fishing and wine tasting.
